Results

These are the results from Experiment #2

Experiment #2

In this experiment I used a sheet to create a bigger surface area. Again I used the desk lamp.

Results

These are a few examples of the results from the canvas experiment:

Experiment #1

I used a small canvas for my first experiment and a desk lamp for the lighting

Adding Colour

This is the code attached to a jit.charmap object which gives the image colour while controlling the speed, space and fluidity.

Patch Update

This patch shows the connection between the video feed and the 'speed, space, fluidity' controller. Any movements infront of the screen (data collected) will measure its speed, space and fluidity. Next step will be to add colour.

WIP Presentations

This patch captures an image through a webcam and will recognize any difference from white. Ie: shadows. The speed, fluidity and space taken from the movements of these shadows will then determine what emotion is "felt." So far this part of the patch has been worked out. The next step will be to add colour to the shadow image.

First Blog/Presentation Day

This will be my official blog for my thesis, Theta Waves. Everything I will doing between now and the show will be posted here including pictures, info and updates. I have a few things to update already, so feel free to add any suggestions or criticisms as it will only help improve the final piece.

Today I presented the proposal for Theta Waves and talked about the following issues:
Purpose, Experience, Emotions/Colours included, Research/Previous Works, Body Movements, and a possible way of tracing the body movements (fluidity, speed, space).
