Beta Presentations

These are a few images from the beta presentations. Assembling the frame and setting up the rest of the installation took much longer than expected. Many of the small elements such as the projector, wiring and lighting are all factors that contribute to the final piece. I also ran into some trouble setting up the lighting for Theta Waves. I had bought two small halogen lights, however, this causes the object to cast two shadows onto the screen rather than one solid shadow.

Generally the suggestions I got at the Beta's was to change the overall setup. My initial setup had the screen facing a different way from the projection. In the next presentation I plan to place it parallel to the projection screen. Below is a sketch and an image of the approximate measurements of this plan.

Otherwise I need to work some more on coding because the colours are flickering back and forth which does not give a solid representation of the emotion portrayed. I believe putting a counter or a delay into the code may solve this problem.
